LMRC CONCLUDES ‘NATIONAL SAFETY WEEK, 2019’, FELICITATES BEST PROJECT PERFORMERS AND WINNERS OF QUIZ COMPETITION

Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) today concluded the 'National Safety Week, 2019' that was being observed from 4th March, 2019 to create awareness and consciousness among everyone to make safety as their 'First Priority'. LMRC felicitated the winners of the Quiz competition and the best performing contractors at the closing ceremony at its Administrative Building, Gomti Nagar. The occasion was graced by Shri Kumar Keshav, Managing Director, LMRC with other senior officers and contractors.

LMRC initiated the observance of 'National Safety Week, 2019' with safety pledge ceremony at its administrative office and Metro depot on 4th March, 2019. Between 4th March, 2019 and 10th March, 2019, LMRC organized various competitions and events like Quiz competition and training programme etc.

Shri Kumar Gaurav (Assistant Manager / Signaling and Telecom), Shri Abhishek Rana (Assistant Manager / IT), Shri Anil Kumar (Assistant Engineer / Civil), Shri Amrit Prakash (Junior Engineer / Civil) and Shri Yogendra Singh (Customer Relation Assistant) were selected as winners of the Quiz competition. Contractor agency M/s Johnson Lift's Shri Ravi Kant was felicitated with the title of ‘Best Safety Professional’. M/s Sam India (LKCC-05) was honored with Special Recognition Award for due compliance of International safety standards and completion of the civil work of CCS Airport Metro Station within the stipulated time. In addition to this, Power & Transmission Division of M/s L & T was chosen as Best Safe Contractor. Shri Ankur Sharma, Dy. CE/Safety, LMRC gave a brief presentation of various safety aspects & best practices followed during the execution of Lucknow Metro’s Phase -1A project (North-South Corridor) at the closing ceremony.

While addressing the gathering, Managing Director Shri Kumar Keshav said, "Safety is not something to be taken for granted. It should reflect in our everyday routine and should not be a matter of just one day. Our commitment towards safety ensures a safe present and future."
