LMRC COMPLETES U-GIRDER ERECTION WORK OF BALANCED ELEVATED SECTION BETWEEN KD SINGH SATDIUM AND MUNSHIPULIA TODAY

Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (LMRC) today completed the U-girder erection work of North-South corridor (phase 1-A) between KD Singh Stadium and Munshipulia and yet again presented a perfect example of dedication, commitment, timeliness and accountability by achieving this remarkable milestone within the stipulated timeframe. With this the civil construction work of the balanced elevated section has reached its final phase of completion.

A total number 634 U-girders were erected on the 9.6 km elevated stretch of North-South corridor from KD Singh Stadium to Munshipulia. This 27 metre long and 4.1 metre weighing around 150 tonnes was lifted through two cranes of 400 tonnes and 350 tonnes to fix over the viaduct during the construction stage. The erection of U-girders over the Metro viaduct is a very challenging and tough task considering the trickiness of job and the safety concerns associated with it.

Shri Kumar Keshav, Managing Director, LMRC congratulated the whole team of LMRC, M/s General Consultancy (GC) and M/s L&T for completing the erection of U-girders on the balance elevated section from KD Singh Stadium to Munshipulia.
