LMRC AWARDED WITH ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015 AND OHSAS 18001: 2007 CERTIFICATES FOR ITS OPERATIONAL METRO STATIONS AND METRO DEPOT

Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation, today awarded with the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & the Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001:2007 certificates in recognition of the operation and maintenance of its priority Corridor (from Transport Nagar to Charbagh) and Metro Depot.
In a ceremony held at the company’s administrative office, Shri Ankur Sangal, Director/URS (United Registrar of Systems) handed over all three certificates to Shri Kumar Keshav, Managing Director, Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation Limited.
ISO 14001 is awarded in recognition of the organisation’s Environmental Management System while ISO 9001 is awarded for the organisation’s Quality Management System. Moreover OHSAS 18001 is awarded in recognition of the organisation’s Health and Safety Management System.
These certificates have been awarded to Lucknow Metro for Operations and Maintenance of the 8 stations of the Priority section namely Transport Nagar, Krishna Nagar, Singar Nagar, Alambagh, Alambagh ISBT, Mawaiya, Durgapuri, Charbagh and Transport Nagar Metro Depot.
Expressing his happiness on receiving the certificates, Managing Director said, “These certifications not only bring laurels to the organization but also entrust us with the responsibility to keep pace with international standards and practices and to perform at our optimum best at all times. I heartily congratulate the entire team of LMRC on this achievement”.
Earlier, LMRC had received ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certification for its 23 km stretch during the construction phase.
Lucknow Metro which successfully conducted signalling and load testing on the balance section up to Munshipulia station yesterday, would commence commercial operations on the entire North-South corridor soon.
